Long Paddock a Winner!
This morning it was announced that the Long Paddock (Cobb Highway Touring Route) was the winner of the Innovation and Regional Development Category (Small Council) of the 2008 National Awards for Local Government.
13 winners were announced in 10 categories and the Long Paddock was up against 71 councils, with 114 entries from all across Australia.
The Long Paddock Project Officer, Ali McLean, will now go to Canberra on 29 September 2008 to make a presentation to judges, who will decide the overall national winner, to be announced on 8 December at an Australian Local Government Association (ALGA) dinner in Melbourne.
